my wife is in her 8 month+ of pregnacy and
in last three wheeks she has gain 20
pounds a week is this normal

Thats 60lbs!!
From my experiance that might be a bit
too much have you had a doc apt in this?
I would call and speak with a nurse or a
your doc who is
familiar with the pregnancy if she has
gained all along~~ too me it seems like a
lot but if she hasn't gained all along it
may be allright.
In my 7th month I was measuring 9mo + my
middle was exceptionally
large and I was put on bed rest and 2
weeks later I had the baby~
so I would check with your ob and see.

Yes has gone to the doc she has to go
every 4 days for snt. (some kind of fetal
stress test) also a bio ultrasound. The
doc hasn't seem to notice or care that she
gained this much weight in so little time
. Her she gain 110 pound sence day one .
She can't sleep she can bearly get in and
out of bed or even sit down her legs are
twice the size and she was ralfin for a
couple weeks and one time about a week ago
she ralfed and her neck swelled up and
face . Well I don't know I kind of
rambing on but she is going crazy . (so I
am i)

ooh my the poor thing!!!
Yes I had the fetal stress test( I was
also throwing up blood lots and bleeding
eterally so that was why I was having the
tests)
has she or you came right out and said iam
concered bout the weight gain?My doc.
Monitered it very closly becuse I put it
all on in a short time
and at 7months was way too big he was very
concered!
I can understand her problems not very
easy to move around that is alot of baby
weight to have on and very quickly I threw
up till the morning I gave birth but with
her neck and face swelling up that's not
normal!!!
Is the doc normally carring?
I would go in or call and say I am
concered and make them listen!!!
If anything she should be in for
observation just for the sake of
monitering her and the baby!!
Remember the doc. Are there for you and
the mother to be and that precious
baby!!
Call and talk with a nurse tell them of
your concerns and ask why
if they are not to worried!!!!
And to take the stress off of both of you
it would be wise to ask or go in.
And if she has trouble getting around it
will get harder on her body.
I hope you get some att. Stress how the
situation is!!!!!
I had a great doc. He always listened to
my feelings and broke it down from there.

sounds like you need to get a new freaking
doc!!!!Or something!!!..It sounds like she
has a major major medical problem which
could be deadly...Maybe you should take
her to the er....Asap..No..You should...

Well, the reason this alarms me is because
it sounds as if she is beginning to retain
a lot of water which can be a beginning
sign of preeclampsia. I would ask your
Dr. Specifically about this at your next
visit.

Well I gained 80 lbs with my daughter and
my doc didn't seem concered either. I
was so swollen sometimes that my toes
split open. I couldn't get out of bed at
night to go to bathroom which sucked
because fiance worked 3rd shift and
sometiems I needed help getting out of
bed. I wasn't due until august 25, 2003
but I was induced aug. 7 beacuse my blood
pressure skyrocketed. Are they keeping a
real close eye on her bpressure???? She
needs to be very careful. I know exactly
what shes going through though. I went
to the hosp all the time because I thought
something was wrong with me and they never
seemed concerned. I even got a second
opinion at a diff hospital and they said
the same thing. If you'd like to talk

know how shes doing and how the baby
is...Did she lose all the weight? Im
having probs losing it.
