Thanks for thinking of me! It went great. She said everything looked perfect, which is always nice to hear. I was most worried about getting weighed in but she said my gain looked great (but didn't tell me how much it was or anything). She measured me from the outside with a tape measurer and said everything measured just right, which I don't really get since not everyone is built the same so how can a chubby person measure the same as a skinny person from the outside, you know? Then we listened to the heartbeat for a few minutes and it was 160. She couldn't keep track of it because he was so active. It was pretty cute. I love listening to it. No ultrasound though, I had my one and only. I asked and she said I wouldn't get another unless there was a problem. I'm assuming i'll get one when I switch practices though so they can see things for themselves, but who knows. It was great though and i'm no longer nervous or paranoid now that I can feel him moving every day. I can't wait until he's here!

Luckily it's not so strong that his kicking wakes me up at night. Sometimes when I wake up to go pee or nick wakes me up accidentally i'll have a hard time getting back to sleep because I can feel him dancing around in there. I love it though. I'm sure I won't love it when it actually does keep me up at night or he nails me in the ribs but so far it's gentle and cute.

You might get lucky and never get any painful kicks. My sil didn't', and I haven't had any. He's woken me up one time, but that was because it was such a strong kick (the first time he kicked really hard), not because it hurt. I get more solid movements than I do kicks and jabs.

The only bad thing i've been getting is I joke with my bf about how .Logan must just sit in there and decide he suddenly wants me to potty. I think he randomly squeezes my bladder at the most inopportune times....

My little skoot loves to play sit and spin on my bladder. It's wonderful.....Lol I get half of the work done at work than I normally do because get up at least 2 times and hour to go pee. But at the same time ive been drinking more than normal. Lol

iheart:

when they measure your uterus, no matter if your chubby/overwieght/underwight/perfect weight, will measure pretty uniform. They aren't measuring the growth of your stomach or your baby bump, they are measuing the growth of your uterus. If it measures small, they will be concerned and also if it measures too big then there will room for concern as well. And you will probably get a us to see if anything is wrong. So if she says that everything is ok....Then it's measuring just right.

Blaze - I still have 18 weeks (i'm due on halloween). It's crawling by.

Gen - she measured me with a tape measure from my pubic bone to the top of my uterus. I figured since she was measuring the outside of my body that things would measure differently based on your body type. It still doesn't make much sense to me. Oh well.
