Girlfriend With Yeast Infection, Std Tests?
Posted: 06-26-06 23:47pm

Okay my girlfriend has been diagnosed with a yeast infection back in april. She was given dyflucan or some kind of pill that can be taken and it wasn't cleared up. So now they gave something that can be inserted but I don't know the name of it or how it's done. She also just recieved a bill in the mail for a clamidia and ghonnarea (excuse the bad spelling) test dating back to mid may. Besides the discharge that is associated with both the yeast infection and those std's she has no other symptoms except pressure on her bladder which has gone away. She also had a cyst in one of her ovaries I think it was. It was causing her a lot of pain and I believe it burst and started to clear up. Now as for myself the last person I had any sexual contact with before her was over a year ago and I have seen no symtoms at all. She was told by the doctor that the first pill she was given can fail so they went to the second method. The doctor also looked under the microscope and said she had the yeast infection. Is it possible that the pill did fail and that the doctor was just sending the sample of the infection out as a precaution? Any feedback will be appreciated.

What did the tests say?Pos or neg?It is possible to have an ongoing yeast infrction.Sometimes it takes more than one or 2 doses of something to clear it up.Trust me,i've been there. If the doc saw nothing else wrong with her and her tests have come back ok,you really have nothing to worry about! : )

Okay this may sound weird but it truly helps with yeast infections, here goes, tell her to get some plain yogurt, and insert an amount into her vagina.. Dont insert the whole cup just a small amount will do..It has natural bacteria in it and live cultures as well..Please let me know how this works out..

Took me cream and two forms of oral pills before my infection cleared up. Hubby began to get very suspicious that it wasn't clearing up etc. But there was certainly nothing to worry about.

At the end of the day, if he was so suspicious, he should of gone and gotten himself tested and he would see that he had nothing. Or atleast nothing that would of come from me!
