Q: No Support?

I know this would probably fit better in teen pregnancy but I don't like it much over there anymore...

But it really edit me off how there is this divide with teen mom and young moms. There seems to be a lot of support in my area for moms under 18 or still in highschool. Like in my situation im 19 now and will be 20 by the time the baby comes, and I feel excluded from a lot of support programs that I know could still benefit me. I found one meet up group but by the time I got the balls to call to go and realized how much I needed to go they were stopping the program from lack of attendance. The only thing I can think of is a single moms/pregnancy group and even though I have problems with the dad all the time im not single. I live right near charlotte north carolina but cant find anything!? There are 500,000 people in that city and like 60,000 where I live and not one other person needs the support I am looking for too? I have talked to a few organizations and still cant find anything. I really need to meet other girls in my boat and that are pregnant to make some friends to rely on and talk with, but the lack of support really disgusts me.

I think you could contact planned parenthood or something (local community centre) and they could help you.

It sucks, people think that once you become an adult you dont need help/assistance anymore cause your mature enough to produce you can deal with the bs. In reality we all have difficultie the first month being the hardest, adjusting to a new kid/ life with kids is really bloody hard.

I was in the same sitiuation, im a little tight on money cause of the kids going through so much diapers, formula and having to buy to new wardrobes for both my kids since they grow so fast. What iffed me was that I have to pay to attend mom and kid groups or toddler day groups as to where moms under 18 dont have too. They say that becuase I am married im old enough to take care of these things im like really I pay life insurance for everyone, resp for the kids and im lucky to get a night out plus I work my off what makes me different age discrimination is disgusting some of us are all in the same boat!!

Good luck trying to find stuff thats why I rely on a few people here they provide me free heartfelt advice over paying someone who doesnt care!!
