Okay so this is not really pregnancy related, but you girls here give the fastest responses...

Im having my first period since after I had my son and he is 2 months old.. And a couple days b4 this I started getting itchy down there and ive noticed its red, and a few bumps.. But not blister like..And only hurts a lil bit..(sorry 4 details) so I go to the drs cuz the itching is bothering me.. And he doesnt check me at all.. I described the symptoms to him and he just sent me to the drug store to get yeast infection cream.. Does this sound like a yeast infection to you.?? Ive never had one b4.. And since he didnt even check me I dun wanna go spend all that money if I dont have too...

I have the same problem... I am still having post partum bleeding and for the past 2 weeks now its been really itchy and red down there... And when I bathe the soap kinda burns down there. I asked my mom who is an rn and she told me that it sounded like a yeast infection.. I've been using monistat or how ever its spelled and I feel " sooo " much better !!!

After I had my daughter, I got a yeast infection. Oh .Lord was that a horrible experience! It was so itchy and so uncomfortable I could hardly stand it.

If it is a yeast infection, you will know when that cream gives you relief. Ahhh!

Good luck.

I am only 16, and i've never had a child.

But....I have had an yeast infection. I myself got itchy down there too. And it was red. It was almost like a rash like content. It hurt just a little bit too.

Another way to tell, is if your discharging oddly(funky smell, really creamy, etc) . That's always a sign.

But yes, monistat (i think I spelt that right), helped a whole load! It releived the pain.

Hope everything goes right for ya!

You can get a yeast infection on the outside too. That is a common cause of diaper rash.

Your ph level in your body just went through a major swing (having a baby) and your *ahem* hoo-haw is paying the price. It is very common to have this happen after the birth of a child.

Use the medication.
