This may be a stupid question and i'm pretty sure I know the answer but I thought i'd ask....Can you donate blood while you're pregnant?? I need a response asap thanks!

You have to wait about a year after you have your baby to donate blood again.

I couldn't wait to turn 17 so I could give blood.. And then I never got round to it.. And then I got pregnant.. So now I have to wait a couple more years!

Damn in louisiana you have to be 18 to give blood. I've wanted to for a while but im dangerously anemic so that cuts it out the question. I dont know the laws of age here in texas tho... =[

Thanks girls. Even tho I donate alllll the time I couldn't remember the exact rules for sure. I was pretty sure that was it was a no but I was checking because iwas supposed to donate today! O well I hope they weren't to mad I didn't show up for my appt!! Haha. Thanks again! Adios
