Could I be pregnant if I ovulated 6 days
after unprotected sex? Or is it too late?
I know that sperm mainly does live in a
woman only 3 days, and if there's fertile
mucus, they'd normally live for 5 days
inside a woman. I know i'll have to wait
4 weeks to know for sure. But i'd like to
know what my chances are. I'm new, I
don't mean to ask such a long question. I
appreciate any help, thanks!

certain that you ovulated 6 days prior?
Thats is not entirely correct about sperm.
Sperm on average lives 2 days with
cervical mucus and with optimal conditions
which include the quality of sperm and
cervical mucus 5 days but most likely they
will live like the rest 2 days. And after
ovulating its called a 2 ww( 2 week wait)
not 4 weeks.

I'm pretty certain I ovulated prior,
because I had sex the day after my period
ended (sex the 6th day of this cycle) on
the 21st. And I believe that I had pains
from ovulation yesterday (27th). Which
would make it 6 days after sex and the
12th day of my cycle. Also, for the past
couple days I had been having "the mucus".
So do you think it's still very unlikely?
I'm very grateful you responded. I don't
mean to sound like a know-it-all. I'm
just nervous and reading alot on the
internet.

How long is your cycle? But what I meant
is how do you know for sure it was exactly
6 days prior? You cant be 100% sure it
was 6 exact days...No one really knows for
sure unless you chart. 6 days after sex
is not going to get your pregnant.

you can get a clear positive like the rest
of all the women 2 weeks after conception
. Which is when you period is due.

long my cycle is, either.

Dont stress... You just missed the bus!
Ovulating on day 12 is usually for shorter
cycles like mine 25-26 days. I wouldnt
worry too much about being pregnant but do
use contraceptive in the future and there
is always the ecp that is available upto 5
days after sex. Go to a any pharmacy and
ask the pharmacist!
