Sorry im posting this here, I just think
ill get more responses than I would from
the newborn forum. Anyway my son is
almost 2 months old and lately it seems
like he is awake all day long....I have
always read that babies are supposed to
sleep like 20 hrs a day until the age of
about 3 months. Its hard for me to get
anything done during the day because he is
always up and fussy. Does anyone have any
insight?

My son slept alot for the first 2 weeks
and then he was awake most the day with
just naps here and there. Mind you he's a
lazy bones... Loves his sleep on a night
unlike my daughter... She was sleeping
during the day and awake all night! Lol.
She didn't sleep through til a week before
her 1st birthday!
I think you baby is just fine. Does he
sleep well at night?
Yeah actually at first he was all
backwards but now he sleeps pretty well at
night....I guess I should be thankful for
that!

My son is 3 months and pretty much the
same and it is hard to get anything done.
He spends some time in the bouncer some in
the jumper some in the pram, etc etc :-)
he used to be quite needy when he was
awake but he is occupying himself more
now, so hopefully yours will start doing
the same soon. Don't worry about how much
the books say your baby should sleep
everyone is different. At least he sleeps
well at night, you can handle a long day
as if you have had a decient nights sleep
:-)
