Why is it that everywhere I turn I hear
that Splenda Brand no calorie sweetener is
made by the devil himself and will kill
you if you so much as use it more then
once or twice?
OK, I exaggerate, but all I hear is that
it is dangerous and will lead to
everything from depression to cancer yet I
can't find anything but random internet
rumors to substantiate these claims.
I LOVE Splenda! I don't use it by the cup
but for things like baked goods and 1/2 &
1/2 in home made candied nuts and flax
seed.
Will my 6 cup a year "Habit" kill me or is
it all just internet based lies?

If a chemical substance is not absorbed in
the body... but the whole amount of it is
expelled trough the feces, then the
substance doesn’t pose a threat to the
body. Splenda is not a carbohydrate and,
therefore, should not be absorbed by the
body. But one can never be sure. Studies
require decades before cause-effect can be
established. You can continue your
research online and post results here at
eHealthForum. We'll be interested to
