Levaquin While On Depo Shot Question?!?! Posted: 06-30-06 00:17am
My gf has been on the depo for 1 month and
a half now and she got a urinary tract
infection....The doctor gave her levaquin
and we had sex the first day she took it
and again today which is 7 day into the
med.
Levaquin is a 10 day med so my question
is....Does levaquin affect the
effectiveness of the depo? Meaning can
she get preg?? :shock:

Antibiotics do not affect depo or other
"progestin only methods" the same way they
affect regular birth control.
She should still be well protected.
But it is always good to double check with
her gyn doc.
