l'm on microgynon 30 pill which i've been taking for at least 12 years.l took my last pill on wednesday and did not have a period until the following wednesday and was due to take my pill again the next day which mean't l bled for 1 day this has happened for 2 months now also within the week when l've been toilet and wiped myself there has been a brown/red colour on the tissue but nothing on my pad which has only lasted for 1 day then my 1 day period comes a couple of days later.normally l take my last pill on the wednesday my period comes on the monday and then l take my pill again on the thusday.Is this normal as l am very concerned.

The bleeding that you are experiencing is not normal. You should bleed after taking the last active pill of a pack or while taking the last 7 (inactive) pills. This spotting can be caused by an organic reason (infection, tumor) so I recommend you visit your gynecologist for a vaginal examination and Pap-smear.
