There's an interesting new blog about
various factors contributing to the
obesity epidemic: restaurant portion
sizes, food marketing to children, jobs
that requires less and less physical
activity, and so on. People are also
posting about the stigma faced by obese
people in our society. It's run by the
rudd center for food policy & obesity
at yale university, which is headed by
kelly brownell. He's a big proponent of
changing the "toxic environment" that
leads to obesity. The blog authors are
rudd researchers as well as plain folk.
