I guess those diets just thought it was
the right thing to do. Whole grains
should actually work fine for people that
have drops at the 3-5 hour limit, not 1-2.
If you read saunder's book carefully,
you'll see her actually admit that some
people can't tolerate grain and some have
drops 1-2 hours and all she says is they
have to do "frequent snacking."
unfortunately, she gives no damn
explanation as to what the means or how
this type of hypoglycemic is supposed to
eat. All I can say is thanks, because I
think everyone on here has drops every 1-2
hours initially. So when she says that
this is "rare" in her book it angers me
off. Something tells me she has seen it
more than she says and doesn't want to
admit it so her stupid book still sells.
That book has lots of mistakes and the
current, revised addition hardly has
anything new in it. Anyway, the grain
will work for people with drops at 3-5
hours because that's enough time for the
body to store the carbohydrates as energy
to alleviate the drops. However, when
you have drops at the 1-2 hour mark this
is impossible and eating the grains only
makes it worse because the drops are
harder then. Then you have airola's
book, which mentions whole grain too but
also admits that it doesn't work for all
without giving the rest of us something to
use for help. What we eat on here and
has the best results is the original diet
used to treat it. Nothing is better.
I'm going to say your anxiety is all the
sugar, trust me on that. I had the same
thing where in public it seemed worse,
until I realized that this was because I
was simply afraid of getting uber weird in
public. So if it happens anymore in
public, I realize it really doesn't
matter, who cares if I sit down or take a
nap in the middle of the supermarket.
Screw em.
