Several Abortions? Why?
Posted: 07-01-06 13:32pm

I don't want to get into a big argument here I am not a religious person and could myself never consider abortion. I have been pregnant at 16 which resulted in a heatbeaking miscarriage.

Anyway I can see why someone can feel an abortion is the only option for them in certain situations.
What I do not understand is why after having one pregnancy which is not wanted or planned and having an abortion do people not take more care to ensure this does not happen in future?

I hear of people who have 3 or more abortions in my mind that can just not be acceptable and is purely irresponsable especially after a first and even second 'chance'.

Older people who are capabale of looking after a child but just 'dont have the time' or it 'doesnt feel right yet' also annoy me but thats a different matter.

Anyone elses opinions on this I would be interested to hear.

Can I ask you , what gives you the right to judge someone that has been raped, gotten pregnant feels that she would be an unfit mother, the fetus has missing organs that cannot be replaced, would you rather see that baby be born brought up without love and the basics, neglected, abused sexually and otherwise, be brought up in filfth, beaten for no reasonother them yhe mother has health issues that she cannot control, just born to say it was born and to have to decide when it is right to pull the plug when you knew this was going to happen before birth, sure, it could go to an adoption home where there is no love given. When you are walking in these people's shoes, then you can say why as accidents happens, rape happens, incest an sex abuse happens. I ddo not like to see multipke abortions either but some have their reason's and it is not up to me to judge them as I am not in their shoes but I will stand by and understand and support them as I do realize that their is a lot of garbage that goes on in life. And please do not take me wrong, I am not hammering you, just wanting you to understand that.

I have had 3 abortions, and I am also on the most effective form of birth control around..An iud... It is just as effective as a tubal ligation.

I work in healthcare, I went to college, but birth control still failed 'me'..Someone who is trained to know how to use it... If it can fail me, it certainly can fail anyone!

Nothing is 100%..And I am married btw, so I not promiscuous..We as women have to deal with the fact that we will not reach menopause for many years, and until then we can get pregnant! I am 24, and 50 is a long ways away...

I don't think I can say it better than sandyallen. Women have their reasons for aborting, whether they're carrying their uncle's child or they just got too wrapped up in the heat of the moment in the back of their partner's car. If the woman doesn't want the child and/or doesn't want to be pregnant, then I think that's a justifiable reason by itself to abort.

Think about it...If you had to deal with some sort of health problem that could be cured, would you not seek treatment? Women who don't want to have children, be it either for only a certain time span or ever, see their unwanted pregnancy as a sickness, not a "miracle".
