Yeast Infections?
Posted: 07-18-06 19:01pm

If anyone can help me with a few simple questions about yeast infection because I think I have it, that would be helpful
what are yeast infections?
How do you get them?
What symptoms do you get?
How do you diagnose it?
How would you treat it?
Many thanks x

If I remeber you cant use med to treat it during pregnancy but yogurt/cranberry juice are naturally ways to help..

Yeast infections kinda smell funny not like yeast from bread more like beer and you get itchy with dicharge could of just been the pregnancy, I never had a yeast infection till I got preggo has something to do with hormones.

Things that can cause yeats infections
~douching
~using alot of perfumed product to wash with
~not enough good bacteria etc

talk to your dr before using the treatment

btw I know this sounds gross but I got a yeast infection in my mouth all from hormones it was nasty I think its called thrush but you have to gargle this nasty crap

My baby got it...It ws ok though.

They say it's from certain bacteria that the babies are exposed to in the vagina through birth.

It can also be from letting milk set in the baby's mouth. It creates a perfect environment for yeast to grow and multiply!!

I had to give her medicne 4 times a day ((which sucked!!))

it smelled like she was holding bread ball in her mouth! Yuck!!

Depending where the thrush is you can probably use a low percentage canasten, ive been a chronic sufferer since I was born and my mum passed it to me
