Labor labor progresses. False labor doesn't. Labor labor is a constant. False labor tends to peter out.

As cliche as this sounds, when it is real labor, you will know.

your midwife should have a backup if she is not available. Discuss this with her and who you should contact while she is away.

No unfortunately she hasnt as shes the only one that specialises with us teenagers in out area, I knew I should've gone with a normal midwife at the local surgery. Mine is so forgetful and everything...Not good for a midwife but she was actually pretty helpful yesterday and I heard that the ones at the local surgery are great! My midwife liz just said that if I have any problems or anything, just phone the labour ward and they'll pass me onto a midwife there who can help so im not at all worried at the moment just very impatient

Impatient is the word. I'm counting down days. I'm getting a few contractions not consistat though. They are traveling from my back to the front. Midwife said they were contractins thier just not regular enough to count really.

Yeah I was pretty scared this morning because I started to have contractions, one of them was very painful and bobby was scared and didnt want me to go out. It was mainly my back but also where the babys head is laying but I haven't had any as bad as that again today, only slight ones and irregular

Yeah very! I went to my work place today, haven't been there since I left for maternity leave and everyone was saying I tripled in size and looked like I was having twins...Er, don't think so, even thought the midwife was saying its a big, healthy baby inside me :) and everyone was saying that I wont last 5 more weeks of pregnancy, give it two weeks and ill have it. But pregnancy is so unpredictable, I could come late
