I am 35+ weeks and at my last app. A week
ago, the baby was in the vertex position.
I have always felt kicks up by my ribs and
various "limbs" rolling around. Since
yesterday I have been having sooo much
pressure down in my pelvic area. I now
have a hard round large lump up high and
am feeling "kicks" and limbs rolling
around right above my pubic bone. What
the heck is going on?? It is possible for
the baby to turn completely around this
late in pregnancy?

Yes. If there is room, the baby will
turn. What has your doctor said about
being 35+ weeks with a breech? Will you
be having an ultrasound to check to see if
baby has flipped?
My doctor thought my son was breech and
sent me for an u/s. I was 39w5days and I
was in early labor. The u/s couldn't pick
it up - weird. Anyway, what the doctor
was feeling was my son's butt - not his
head!
Prior to knowing this, the doctor had
talked about a version if the baby was
breech. Or attempting a version.
Do a search on breech babies and turning
breech babies, you'll get a lot of
information on things you can do. Some
sound weird, like getting on all fours and
laying upside down on an ironing board or
something, but people swear by these
methods.
Good luck! Not much longer!

Your baby may also turn back again before
you go into labour or just as labour
starts. There are some really good ways
of sitting etc that can encourage your
baby to turn around again aswell - sitting
backward over a chair, on your hands and
knees, I can't remember any more but talk
to your doctor/midwife and they will tell
you some others.
Good luck.

Thank you everyone for your replies. She
apparently has moved again becuase now I
am feeling kicks on the left side of my
belly. I guess she just decided to flip
around for a day!

The same thing is happening to me right
now. My some is laying in a left to right
position, after have been in a head down
for 3 weeks. I'm hoping he will flip back
around soon. Stuborn babies.
