Nervous About Switching trinessa to ovcon-50 Posted: 07-22-06 17:59pm
After being on trinessa (orthotricyclen's
generic) for a little over two years, i'm
switching to ovcon-50. I recently had a
pregnancy scare and had my period for 3
weeks, also i'm tired of the intense mood
swings I get around my period of trinessa.
I haven't switched up until now b/c i'm
scared that it won't be as effective as
the trinessa. I mean, I didn't get
pregnant for two years so it had to be
doing something right! I'm in a
monogamous relationship, and have been for
3 years and am practically engaged. He
is also paranoid that switching pill might
effect the effectiveness. I decided not
to have sex for at least 2 pill cycles.
Am I just being extremely paranoid or
might a different pill not be as
effective? I'm going from a triphasic to
a monophasic and from a medium dose to a
high dose. Paranoia or could it be true?
... I hate this paranoia!!!!

Well i'd assume that the higher dose alone
should be even more effective than a lower
dose.
