Is This Hg? I Need Some Help
Posted: 07-24-06 04:36am

Hi.

I'm pretty confident i'm not diabetic as I had a urine test as part of a standard medical at my gp surgery about 4 years ago.

My main problem is sweating. It mainly affects my forehead, chest, back and groin areas and can be brought on by hot weather and stress. I've been looking at hyperhidrosis info for ages but have begun to wonder whether it might be linked to my diet.

I have realised that white bread really bloats me up and makes me feel uncomfortable for a while. Wholemeal bread gives me no such problem so I don't think it's a wheat intolerance.

I also realised that beer makes me very tired and can give me a headache after a couple of pints. I don't remember this from when I was around 18 (i am now 30). I recently discovered that if I drink whisky, I have no such problem at all.

Could this be reactive hypoglycemia? I'm in the uk and understand that it is not officially recognised as a legitimate disorder so i'm not sure what to do about it.

Anyway, i'd be very grateful for any info you can give me. Thanks!

It could be hypoglycemia, but it sounds like your symptoms are pretty minor. A good diet will keep it from getting worse, if it even can. If you're drinking alcohol and not going crazy it's not that bad. Just be careful. Try a better diet and see what happens if you want.
