Oh the joys of pregnancy! Not all women find it that 'glowing' time. And, yes, depression can worsen during pregnancy do to an onslaught of hormones. If you find your depression gets worse, talk to your doctor about it. Depression during pregnancy is very, very common.

That said, you are 8 weeks pregnant so still have 32 left to go, there is plenty of time to be over the moon! Right now it might not seem very real. A few things are going to change that - hearing the heartbeat and having an ultrasound. But even then if you feel distant from the pregnancy that is ok too. Everyone's feelings are different.

Whatever you feel is whatever you feel. Maternal instinct will kick in after the baby gets here. ;)

Amen ingi! Lol...You won't really start to feel an "emotional" change until you feel your little angel moving around in there!!

I'm back on my crazy meds...And prob. Should've been on them during pregnancy...But it's all good! Me and my angel are having a blast together!!!

Trust me...It does get fun!!

I personally didn't "feel" pregnant until I started feeling my daughter move. Even seeing her on the ultrasound monitor, it was hard to imagine that the little creature moving on the screen was actually inside of me. When you begin to show and you feel those first flutters in your stomach, you'll be amazed at how hard the emotion will hit you. Chin up, hon!

I was the same way as ayamiyaki. I would see the ultrasounds, and see the little bugger in there. But it didn't seem real until I felt movement. And as time goes on (and the kicks get more active and harder) it seems more real and real (and the closer to the due date that I get).

8 weeks is still early, so it might not hit you get because there isn't too much of a change (wait until you get the big belly, then you will feel it more)

some people not feel 'over the moon' until the baby comes and the baby in is your hands... Doesn't mean you are not excited, everyone is different, you don't have to feel 'over the moon' the moment you know that you are pregnant.

Enjoy and have fun !
