No Period, Pain In Left Side Posted: 07-25-06 09:47am
Hi, I need a little help. I am 26 years
and have had 2 children. I have always
had horrible periods(like missing work)
lately they have gone every 32 days then
38 days and then 42 until it is now have
been since may 2 that I have had a period.
We have been trying to conceive the last
3-4 months with no luck. All the tests
come up negative. I have hypothyroidism
taking .15mcg of levothyroxine. And my
gyno said recently that my labs were
perfect. I have had a constant pain in
my left side-ovary. This concerns me.
We want to have more children and nothing.
Any ideas? I also have become more
physically active recently. I am 5'3 and
172lbs. Help anyone please!

Found Some Kind of An Answer Posted: 07-30-06 15:58pm
Update: I had an ultrasound, and the
severe pain on the left was bleeding in
the ovary. But, the us showed that I
have a cyst on the right one that is
4cm...No pain there but I do have lower
back pain. Any ideas on how to relieve
some kind of pain for these cysts?
Please help..Any advice.

I have polycystic ovary syndrome from my
hypothyroidism being undermanaged. The
doctor put me on glucophage (which also
helps with fertility) and this has helped
with the pain i'm having. I found all
this out after finally going to my doc
after not having a period for almost a
year!

Pain On Left Side of Abdomen Posted: 09-03-06 10:25am
It sounds familiar...I have missed two
periods in a row and just started having
pain around my left ovary. Is your pain
cramp-like? My pain is more like
"soreness". There is a small area that
is tender to hurts to touch. It also
feels like a little bump under the skin.
We are also trying to conceive also. The
doctor says "come back next month if you
still haven't had your period". I also
have severe lower back pain (started three
weeks ago) and have hypothyroidism.

About a year ago, I had that similar pain,
in my left side. I went to the doctor
and after giving a urine sample it turned
out that I had a bladder infection.
After being on some medication and
drinking cranberry juices(and or cranberry
pills) the pain subsided. I just thought
I would mention the idea because now if I
start to slight pain in my left side, I
stock up on cranberry juice! :)
