Hi! Actually I just posted my own forum
about birth control and yeast infections
and i"m in the exact same boat you're in,
honey. I am desperate to find out why
I keep getting so many yeast infections.
I get one a month too and i've tried
everything, i'm starting to get paranoid
and think I have diabetes or something
serious but apparently i'm fine. What
shocks me is that my doctor is a strong
believer that birth control pills do not
cause yeast infections. She thinks i'm
not getting rid of all the yeast when I
get them and that's why they keep coming
back. I'm actually recovering from one
right now and it was one of the worst ones
yet. I've been on birth control for 4
years now and didn't even start getting
yeast infections until I got on the pill
so my belief is it is the pill. I kept
getting so embarrassed everytime I got an
infection, I gave one to my boyfriend one
time and he wasn't happy. So we can't
have sex for like 2 weeks out of the
month. Anyways, i've talked to him
about it and i'm getting off the pill for
good. It's just not worth being
miserable all the time. I'm constantly
wondering "omg, am I going to get a yeast
infection if I do this (have sex, eat lots
of sugar, junk food, wear tight clothes,
have a mild itch, you name it).
Also, I got off birth control before from
the recurrent yeast infections and other
side effects but had a pregnancy scare and
my boyfriend and I thought it best to get
back on the pill. When I was off it
though, I never got a yeast infection and
that was about 3 months. I did get
bacterial infections but that was because
the soap I was using was causing them.
Anyways, i'm getting off the pill to see
if that does it, if not at least i'll know
it's not the pill. Hope you figure out
what to do hun :) good luck!
