Don't forget to learn to carry around a
cooler in your car if you can or a bookbag
of your food in tupperware or similar
stuff. Good job man! Lots of
hypoglycemics go crazy because they can't
think very well while sick and just can't
see that if the symptoms were that
serious, they'd be dead or much, much
worse. Not saying these symptoms are a
joy ride, they're awful, but if you think
about it, especially with them lasting for
that long, if they were that bad you'd be
much worse off and experience them nearly
every day for hours on end.

Hey stan,
yeah i've got the cooler thing down now.
It's a little embarrassing to have to pull
our food while you're in the middle of
dealing with a client but I guess it would
be more embarrassing to pass out in front
of them. :) i'm seeing a lot of
different reactions to it actually.
You'd be surprised how many people
(whether they're hypo or not) don't eat
regular meals during the work day.
They'll say something like "oh I just
grabbed a starbuck's. I'm fine." when I
ask if they'd like to stop for lunch. Go
figure. Is it any wonder americans are
overweight and dealing with so many health
issues?

Renni, you know, logically speaking,
you're right. I would try to rationalize
by thinking "well, i'm breathing". But I
found any logic I had was defied by the
intensity of my symptoms.
I also have a stressful job with deadlines
and chaos. But, as stan mentions, I
bring my own food to work. I'm lucky we
have a kitchen area at my office. So, if
I have to eat, the food's right there.
It really makes a big difference.
Btw, this board has helped me enormously.
I was at my wits end when I found this
board. And if it wasn't for stan and his
diet, I wouldn't have known that what I
was eating was wrong for me.
