Names For My Munchkin

This has gotta be the hardest decision
ever! If it was completely up to me, it'd
be a lot easier, but the father doesn't
like a lot of the names I like.. So I end
up back where I started.. Pcch men =p
as I don't know the sex yet i'm still
thinking of names for both boys and
girls... The one thing I definitely know
is that no matter what, for a girl I would
use the middle name .Michelle, as it's my
sister's name. For a boy I think the
middle name would be either .Robert (it's
kind of a tradition in my family) or
.James.
The name I really like for a boy is
.Matthew, and I don't think i'm going to
change my mind about it.. But I want to
make sure, so i'm still looking for
inspiration.
For a girl it's a lot harder.. I thought
.Jennifer was going to be our choice..
But since i've reconsidered. I have a few
more weeks to think about it, after all.
I really like .Aria... It's a pretty
name, and reflects my family's musical
background. I also like the idea of a
more unusual name.
What do you think? And does anyone else
have any ideas for musical names? Apart
from the usual .Harmony and .Melody, that
is =p

Well out of the names you're thinking
about I like .Aria the best because the
other ones seem a bit too popular for my
liking! Though I really like the short
form jen for jennifer. I also love when
little boys are called jamie, but you were
considering james for the middle name.
Jamie was one of the names I was
considering for a boy and sort of like
james. Have you got a name book to go
through? I really like www.Babynames.Com,
it has a really good selection compared to
other places.

I haven't got a book yet, but i'm gunna
get one.. I've been on a few baby names
websites, and there are so many I got
bored going through each page.. Plus some
of those baby name ideas are very
strange!
I found the suggestion of .Adolph funny
though... It wouldn't really work for me,
as my surname isn't .Hitler and neither is
my boyfriend's.

Haha yeah it's funny how some names you
just don't go with. You aren't going to
name your kid adolf, or elvis, or osama.
I just don't think anyone goes there with
baby names.
But I seriously like .Aria, is it one of
your top ones or just being considered?
Kaydence, lirit, lyra, tamber, aaralyn,
carmen, carmine, karmina, and lark are all
names with musical meanings.
Out of those I really like tamber and
lark. Just cause you said you wanted
some musical names : ).

Thanks! =)
lark is very pretty.. But doesn't really
go with my surname.. That's been a
problem so far.. I don't wanna choose
"arrr" sounding names (that sounded
piratey) or names with a harsh c or k at
the beginning... I was originally going
to give the baby my boyfriend's surname,
but now i've decided to put them
together.. So it'll be carter-lee.
Aaralyn is a really nice name, I think I
like that one best out of the names you
mentioned.. And yeah .Aria is one of my
top names, I just don't think my boyfriend
likes it very much =(

As robert is a "family tradition" you
could always do: aria roberta carter- lee
if it's a girl. Do u get to go back to
find out the sex?

Do british citizens get more scans than
north americans? Because everyone on
here for england seems to get way more
scans.

I only have to go back next week for
another scan because the sonographer
couldn't get all the measurements due to
my baby being in an awkward position. I
might get to find out the sex then!
Most women get two scans, a dating one at
around 12 weeks and an anomaly one at
around 20 weeks. This will be my third
one, so i'm happy.. I get another chance
to see my baba =)

Yeah isn't it fun when something technical
causes you to have another scan! I am
going to need another cause my baby far
behind and they need to see it when it's a
bit bigger. He also had a really hard
time getting measurements because her head
was so low in my uterus (though she moved
and he got them at the last minute). Now
we both get to see our babies again! And
it's just so amazing, isn't it worth not
knowing the sex? It totally is worth the
70 percent for me and my due date being
moved up! And the 25 dollars I have to
pay to get pictures.

Yeah I know, it's great.. I can't wait to
see my baby again! My best friend is
coming with me this time, and i'm gunna
buy a couple more pics... Wow they're
expensive where you are.. I paid £3.50
for two pictures, which is a hell of a lot
cheaper!

I guess my hosp was nice cause everyone
gets one at 12,19 and 32 weeks. I had 2
more than most at 5 and 9 weeks as I was
high risk. And the pics were 5$ for 3.

Well I got 4 for $25 but they are tiny
ones, all on one sheet. But I think I
get some of the scans he sends to the dr
too! And those are free and big. These
are just because people can't wait that
long to have a picture of their babies.
I don't go more than a couple hours
looking at the ones I have. I'm
completely obsessed with them and looking
at my baby.

I'm like that too.. I can't stop looking
at my pics. I think i'm lucky that mine
are so clear, it's amazing seeing all the
details. I say hello to the pics and
stuff, I can't help it =p I can't wait til
my baby's hearing fully develops, then I
can start talking to my bump properly, and
singing to it!

Cadence came from that movie european
vacation or whatever when the brother and
sister started making out. And when they
all ate "magical brownies" and started
acting loaded and came to the harsh
reality that they were just regular
brownies!!
I named my friends baby "melody" because
her daddy is a guitar player and they
didn't want the name cadence because of
the movie.
Another name I like is .Aubryn. My friend
.Lilia named her baby that and I think
it's beautiful!!
