Sounds like anxiety and a bit of panic
probably too. Give cbt a try, it has
helped me a lot already and I just
finished my cbt group. Good luck to you.

I've had panic attacks for many year and
the symptoms you describe are how mine
started. They gradually got worse. I
have them pretty much under control but
still have severe attacks on occasions.
I've been on 50mg of zoloft for about 5
years and it helps alot. You dont want
to be on meds you said, there is another
drug called ativan at the smallest dose it
is very effective and you dont take it on
a daily basis unless necessary. It works
very quickly and you can take it when you
feel a panic attack coming on. It's the
best thing i've tried. Good luck

Can I ask, when you experience this do you
get a presure change in your ears at all
or feel dizzy?
I get the presure change in my ears then
the flushed feeling then the spacey
feeling, which is apparantly all down to
an inner ear disorder.
Worth checking out imo

Hi,
the best solution to deal with regular
anxiety is to meditate everyday(2-3- times
for 5-10 minutes).
Meditation is alot easier to do than most
people realize. It can be as simple as
spending some honest time with yourself
such as described here: http://www.Learningm
editation.Com/relax.Htm
trancendental meditation is one method on
which many studies have been done over
decades. Take a look at these articles
on the technique here: http://www.Tm.Org/inthene
ws/index.Html
important: if you practice meditation
regularly your need for medication will
probably go down. So it is very
important that you visit your doctor
regularly while you are meditating as only
your doctor can tell you when to reduce
your dosage and by how much.
There is more yet meditation is a quick
and easy start.
Best wishes,
abbas

Johnr and I seem to be of a similar mind,
at least on cbt and tea forms from the
obitz book. It can be so helpful.
Also, are you exercising regularly? I
think so many americans are out of balance
because they don't circulate their bodies
and minds enough, and instead repeat the
same self-destructive mental patterns.
Break out of your routine and select new
behaviors and modes of looking at the
world!

it sounds to me like you are more caught
up in your symptoms when you should be
focussing on the causes. All of the
suggestions regarding meditation exercise
and cbt will serve you more than trying to
treat the various symptoms that are most
likely caused by your anxiety.
