i have recently come off paroxetine as i
feel it wasnt helping i have been on
fluoxetine effexor xl and numerous others
i cant remember i cry all the time i cant
sleep and i have the most terrible visions
i cant describe mainly my husband and my
children dying in awful circumstances i
try to block these images out of my mind
but they are so poweful they leave me in
tears feeling helpless and i feel like i
am living under a black cloud waiting for
something horrible to happen please help
me i am a mess

It does, indeed, seem that you are
suffering from some kind of depression.
Paroxetine and fluoxetine are new
generation antidepressants (selective
serotonin reuptake inhibitors) with very
little side effects. When use as
prescribed, the medicines require at least
2 months before patients feel the benefit.
You can also seek help from a mental
health professional; traditional or
non-traditional psycho-therapy can help
ease depression by offering suggestions
and ways of coping with thoughts,
emotions, anxiety, etc. Individual and
group therapy sessions are often useful
when combined simultaneously, but you will
have to make the first step in seeking
help for yourself. You must be willing
and ready for help in order to experience
the benefits of therapy. You are not
