I was diagnosed with a suspected molar pregnancy and was in for a d&c today. My dr stated the tests will be done on the contents to see if it was a true molar. I had high hcg levels, fetus had no heartbeat, had virginal bleeding and a bulky uterus. Is there anyone that has these symptoms and its turned out not to be a molar pregnancy?

I wasnt too confident with the dr as she stated afterward that she usually is happy with the d&c, but this one is different and she is not sure if she has everything. Which makes me feel pretty uneasy.

I'm 37 and this is the first pregnancy after my stillbirth last october, so i'm not feeling too positive.

I just need something at the moment.

I hope you can give me some thing to think about?

Thank you for you time.

Molar Pregnancy
Hi there, I hope it turns out that you didn't have a molar, but if you did and you want to talk babycenter.Com has a website just for us moms who lost a baby to molar or partial molar, I had a partial molar and would be happy to talk to you if you'd like. Just know that I am here and would love to chat, my heart goes out to you no matter what caused the loss of your baby. You've already been through so much. Please feel free to email me at (use PM to exchange personal data, by moderator) to talk about molars or just about the loss, i've been there. I lost my little one in july, had to have two d&c's thank goodness not because of cancer or regrowth but because my uterus was so enlarged it was hard for my doctor to get "everything" my body was definatly letting me know I had something left in there. Anyway I am almost to my 5th blood draw, and I am just waiting till my 6th month to ttc again. Please feel free to email if you want.

I'm a Molar Too---
Isn't it funny how you can go through 30 years of life never even knowing what a 'molar pregnancy' is...? And then it happens to you... I know that the posts in here are kinda old--- well, over 3 months anyway... I live in barcelona spain and had to go through the whole ordeal in another country--- in another language. After the vaginal ultra-sound, after the d & c, I went online to find out exactly what this 'mola' all the doctors have been mentioning is... And wow.... I am shocked. I am having bloodwork done every week. My hcg levels are going down thankfully, but I am crossing each and every finger and toe that cancer doesn't come to pay me a visit.
