I think I will probaby have to have a
c-section. I have already had one out
break during my pregnancy...And I dont
want to put my baby at risk. I will do
whats best for baby but I am scared.
Does anyone else have a std while
pregnant? Or had a c section? I have
so many questions!

Wow I guess I will be able to answer all
of your questions for you. I have herpes,
and this will be my second c-section, I am
currently 31 weeks.
As for the herpes goes, I have only had a
few outbreaks since I have been infected,a
little over a year. I have had one
outbreak, last week, since I have been
pregnant. My doctor gave me a
prescription for the valtrex, I am
supposed to take it once a day, until the
prescription is done.
He said that a lot of times toward the end
of your pregnancy you will have to take
valtrex, because my body is going through
so much.
I am not sure if they will make you have a
c-section just because you have herpes,
but you are right, that if you have a
vaginal delivery your baby is at a very
high risk to contract the std.
As for your questions about a c-section go
ahead and ask away, and I will try to
answer them the best I can.
Good luck.

Thanks for your input. Actually my doctor
thinks its okay to have a vaginal birth,
but I dont want to take the risk. He
said it was my call and would put me on
valtrex either way the last month.
