About 4 or 5 months ago I developed an eye
twitch. I went to the eye doctor and he
said twitching is usually a result of
fatigue, stress and dryness. He
proceeded to say I probably should try to
get off the allergy meds.
At the time I was on zyrtec d, patonal eye
drops, nasonex and had an inhaler. I've
been getting allergy shots for almost a
year. So I didn't think messing with my
allergy meds was the right route.
I gave it some time hoping it would get
better. In the mean time I had an
allergy appointment. I told her what the
eye doctor had said. So we tried cutting
back on my meds. I was so congested I
couldn't sleep. Next step was a ct scan
thinking my sinuses were causing the new
problem. The ct scan came back with
minimal, which surprised me since I have
sinus headaches all the time. There was
a spot in my left sinus by my eye that
might be the problem. So now i'm doing
daily sinus washes and off all
antihistimines except on shot day.
Since I haven't been taking antihistamines
daily my scalp has been itching all the
time. I have eczema.
Do I have to pick which is more annoying
the eye or the itch? Can I expect
results from the sinus wash and go back to
where I was before? I've been having
small reactions to my shots for a month.
