Hello! Because I was sick the day I was
supposed to start my bc pack, I did not
take my first pill -thinking that the
first day was not as important, which also
led my bf and I to have unprotected sex.
So, here is how it goes: first day: I was
supposed to take it but did not.
Second day: took my first pill (and had
sex).
Third day: told a friend about the
situation and she said that the first day
was critical to miss so I took 2 pills to
make up for the first lost day.
Will having the 2 pills help my chances of
not getting pregnant?
Or did I have to take the 2 pills on the
second day for that to work?
Thank you.

Yes, you should have taken 2 pills on the
same day..
If you are late a day, you need to take
the 2 pills on the first day..
You could be at an increased risk of
pregnancy, because you are supposed to
wait 7 days to have sex if you mess up
like you did...
Get the morning after pill just to be
sure... It is okay to take map and
regular birth control together.
