I Thought I Would Like Pregnancy.... Posted: 08-05-06 17:01pm
I always believed that I would enjoy
everything about pregnancy because I
wanted it so badly. But it is tough work
giving up your body- even if it is for the
little love of your life! I almost feel
guilty :-(
if it's not the extreme exhaustion landing
me on the couch at 6 pm, it's the constant
need to eat something so the nausea
doesn't turn into vomiting. Or maybe the
poor sleep routine of waking up at least
twice to urinate. It couldn't possibly
be the constipation and bloating! And it
definitely can't be the new oily skin and
hair making me look like a teenager (i
didn't even have that problem when I was a
teen)! Or the stress and wonder of every
twinge, ache or cramp. Oh, how can I
forget the rediculous pain in my boobs!
I sometimes break out in a full blown
sobbing episode and I feel so guilty to
complain about these things. It's just
so hard! I am only 8 or 9 weeks now and
I have a ways to go until I get a break!
Anyone else with me on this? I am
grateful to be pregnant, but I wish I was
enjoying it more than I am. :-(

I was the same although I loved the idea
of having a baby I didn't enjoy pregnancy
at all. My daughter is nearly five now.
And all though I didn't enjoy being
pregnant it is all worth it ,and even
after that experience I would still do it
again.

Yeah I totally understand how you feel,
but believe me it will be worth it. At
the moment ive only got 18 days left until
my due date and I cant wait! Ive had two
uti's, thrush, been anaemic, cramps,
tiredness, and its never ending. Ive not
had the best pregnancy and I also thought
id really enjoy it. But I bet you, when
youve had your baby, you'll miss your bump
as everyones been telling me. Try to
enjoy the rest of your pregnancy and relax
and spend some time to yourself as you
wont have time when youve had your baby

:) isn't that true when I first got
pregnant I was amazed and wondered at all
the little changes in my body then at 6
weeks I got nasue really bad that went
away and turned into gas , bloating and
constapation extreme having to quite work
exhaustion eating was a chore , because of
what tasted good and what my stomach could
tolerate and know I have loose bowel
movements and all I can think is I have 6
1/2 months left to go , I am totally in
love with the idea of my child but not
pregnancy whoever said labor was the
hardest part was wrong I think labor may
be very painfull but you can say hey in a
few hours it will all be over and my baby
will be in my arms , during pregnancy in
the wake of all you feel and all your
emotions you are weighed down by the fact
that you still have months to go. Hang
in there I am ten weeks I feel your pain I
am hoping and praying I will get some
relief at the end of my first trimester.

all got better by about 13 weeks for me so
I hope the same for you guys. It .I.S.

I am at about 6 weeks with my first and
let me tell you, the gas and constipation
is unbearable. I cannot take any odors
after eating or else it will come back up.
I dont feel the nausea come on until
about 5 seconds before throwing up. Last
night the gas caused me to cramp all night
and have sharp back pain. It is a lot
but I am loving every minute of it. I
hear labor is much much more painful so I
am going to consider this a walk in the
park.

Hey not patient!
The first trimester always seems so
awefull...And your constantly worrying
'what if this gets worse, can I bear it'?
Then just when you think you cant take
anymore...It's your 2nd trimester and you
feel normal again! Your belly is starts
to show, your able to keep food down
without feeling sick, perfect strangers
smile at you wherever you go, and even on
days that are hard...Those little kicks
and wiggles make it all worth it:) its so
wonderful, just be patient (haha).
Also...Their finding now that those
hormones that grow a healthy baby
(progesterone?) are the same hormones that
make you feel sick and tired.
