I duno about were you live huni but in the uk u can go on mat leave 11 weeks b4 your due date

I honestly dont know call ei, in ontario we can take up to 8 weeks before the babys due date unless there is complication in which you can take sick leave till maternity benefits..

Call employment insurance/ministry of labour to found out when your covered

hey hun I live in bc and what we have here ( which is the same as u I think cuz its in the same country) but we get maternity benefits and parental. You can choose to take maternity before baby is born or after its up to u. But u get 8 weeks, and then the rest is parental which adds up to be a year. But what I did hehe, was I took sickness from work at..28 weeks, cuz my feet just killed from being on them all day and I couldnt handle the stress etc. So went to the doctor, and im on sickness benefits , and then once baby is born im gunna take my maternity and then parental :) so I get about a year and a half off..Anyways, if ur confused or wana know more lol just email me!
