the Chills

Hello, i"m 5 weeks pregnant and I have a concern i've been getting the chills very often and I remember on my prior pregnacies my doctor always asked if I get the chills a lot what does this mean?

Your doctor might be worried that you could have a urinary tract infection as this can cause you to have chills or a fever. This is more common in pregnancy and needs attending to because it can spread to your kidneys and can even cause a miscarriage in rare cases. Go and see your doctor if you are feeling unwell or just to put your mind at rest.

Thanks for the info, I should be seeing a doctor soon I hope that I don't have an infection. I'm so ghappy to be pregnant again and hope to be healthy all the way.

Don't panic if you do have an infection. I had one in my pregnancy and I was given antibiotics which sorted it out. I gave birth to a healthy (and gorgeous) little boy so please don't worry.
