Does anyone know what the height of uterus means because the midwife wrote in my notes that I am 38cms below height of uterus and I have researched it and came up with nothing. I am 38 weeks pregnant tomorrow. Some help would be appreciated as I am confused :?

The height of your uterus is 38 cms and your weeks are 38 - you are measuring right on for dates. That is what it means.

They measure fundal height (look up that term) and compare it to the weeks pregnant you are. Some women measure big, some women measure small. When the baby engages into the pelvic canal, or drops, your measurements can drop as well.

I hope this answers your question.

Height of Uterus
I just did a search on google and this is what I found

this is measured from the pubic hair line to the top of your `bump'; the number of centimetres corresponds to the number of weeks you have been pregnant)

The thing is, she never goes through the things shes written. She leaves in less than 10 minutes, hardly any time for me to ask her anything. She doesnt ask if I have any questions or anything. I knew from the start that she werent a good midwife for me but I thought about changing my midwife too late in the pregnancy and im stuck with her now.

well, I still think you need to impose your questions on her. She is not only there to see the progress and monitor the pregnancy. She is there for you if you have questions ..And you seem to have many question that go unanswered . It is too late now but I would not stop asking questions if it were me.

Shes coming next week anyway and she is concerned about the puffiness of my feet and ankles and me having headaches. Thanks for your input and I will certainly try but if she still doesn't help me I think ill start asking the midwife that runs my antenatal classes, even though I only have a couple with her

If she comes back just tell her to sit down and talk to you! Sometimes you just have to put your foot down and if she does not like it then that is too bad, she is not doing her job and should be reported because if you don't someone else will! Don't be shy, this is your baby-to-be and both of your health is on the line here and you have a right to know and nobody minds helping you here and I am not saying this to sound mean but a dr is the same way. I do not want to upset you in any way as you are going through enough, soon you will be holdin your baby, hope you put some pictures up, I bet you are getting excited!
All the best to you and yours!
