Bad Back, Should I Conceive? Posted: 08-08-06 15:21pm
Hello everyone!
My husband and I are thinking of trying
for a baby but i'm very worried as I have
an extremently bad lower back. Not just
your typical back pain, but my back will
go out about twice a month for about a
week just from turning the wrong way,
sitting too fast, getting off the toilet
wrong, things like that, and the pain is
so bad I have to stay in bed for a week
because I can barely walk or bend over.
I have been to chiropractors, massage
therapist, tried yoga, you name it, i've
done it. Nobody has been able to tell me
what's wrong. So i'm very nervous to
even try and carry an extra 15 pounds
around in my stomach in fear of being bed
ridden for nine months ( which is not
healthy for me or the baby) not to mention
what shape my back will be in after birth
or how big I would get from just laying
around for nine months. Am I crazy to
not want to carry my own pregnancy? My
husband just doesn't seem to understand
this problem. Any suggestions would be
so helpfull. I'm even contemplating
using a surrogate or adopting! I really
want a child in the future but i'm so
scared!
Help!
Vanessa.

You should talk to your doctor about this.
Whatever you do, be sure to be true to
yourself.
