Losing Sleep Over This- Sick With Worry! Posted: 08-09-06 05:48am
You are probably gonna think i'm crazy but
I have been constantly worrying about the
effect my new baby will have on my
family.
You see I am very lucky to have a boy and
a girl at the moment but whatever the sex
of this baby, one of my kids is going to
feel left out. If its a boy then layla
will be the only girl, if its a girl then
logan will be left out.
Its worrying me so much. My hubby said
don't worry we can try for another in a
year or so to even it out but what if that
is the same sex as the new baby? That'll
be even worse!
I know i'm probably being completely
stupid on this matter but has anyone else
felt like this? I feel really guilty for
the odd one out already...
Please give me some advise... Thanks

Hi. I don't have any kids of my own yet
but I did grow up with 3 brothers so I was
the only girl. I never felt left out.
The best thing about being the only sex is
that you get your own room and your own
stuff! Don't worry about it, and if they
are pretty close in age they will play
together and have fun anyways, especially
when they are younger.

You're not stupid at all; I think your
hormones are making you blow it all out of
proportion and I don't mean that in a
patronising way. When I was pregnant I
worried about things that I don't even
think about now!
You just can't tell how your children will
get on with each other. My husband has 2
sisters and he and his one sister were
always particularly close so the sisters
never ganged up on him so to speak.
Try not to worry.

Hey hun. I am the youngest in my family,
and have 4 older brothers . Ick. Haha,
have all boys or all girls, or a mix
theres always gunna be good and bad, the
bad part I missed was having a sister to
talk to and relate to. But I loved having
all brothers, and they were all protective
with me too so it was nice. So dont worry
about anyone feeling left out, they wont
know the difference cuz thats what they
have u know? :)
