Ive had hair growing on my upper lip and
chin area for some time but just lately it
seems to be getting darker and thicker it
has also started to become more noticeable
on my stomach, any ideas why this could be
happening

Excessive hair growth is all 2 do with
hormones.Also,if ur dark skinned like
latino,afro-carrbibean, asian, etc. Then
u will naturally have darker,coarser hair
then fair skinned people.
Hair growth on ur face is common with
older women (i dont know ur age so I cant
so) particularly through the menopause.It
cud also b realted to being on the pill if
u r on it.
U can obviosuly have these areas waxed but
it cud b painful & expensive.If ur
concerned then visit ur doctor because
thick,dark facial can also be a sign of
polysistic ovaries.

I'm 16 and just noticed a couple random
hairs that are darker...I have a lot of
hair but it is all really light so these
ones stand out a little. They are really
only noticeable up close but I was
wondering if anyone knew the cause?

Since I posted about this problem ive
discovered ive got an ovarian cyst and my
gyno thinks this is disrupting my hormones
and causing the problem, if and when they
remove the cyst it should clear up, with
you being so young it could be your
hormones have'nt quite settled yet or I
you've started taking the pill this could
cause it the best thing I found is a home
eletrolisis kit, it really is working
after only 3 months use.

Sometimes it's also genetics for certain
people.. Certain ethnic backgrounds can
be related to more hair and darker hair..
