Update On My Situation.... Posted: 08-09-06 20:37pm
Well, I just took a test and it came back
negative. So....For now, i'm not
pregnant. ?
Do you think I should wait a couple of
days before taking another test?
I read the pamphlet that comes with my
birth control and it says: if your patch
comes off "for more than one day" and you
begin a new start date, you .M.U.S.T use
contraception.
Of course, I didn't know this and I had
sex all this month unprotected.
I know that the whole reason for birth
control is to prevent conception if used
correctly. I just goofed and now I could
be pregnant.
My nerves are sort of settled now that I
got a negative result, but it could be a
little early. If it doesn't come by
tomorrow night, i'm going to test .Friday
morning. But if it doesn't come, i'm
going to have to call my ob/gyn who is
gonna chew me out!!!
I was supposed to start my period
yesterday after taking the patch off
monday. Why isn't it coming if i'm
testing negative?!

You could always take a test in a few days
time, theres no harm in it. Or you could
go to your doctors and have a blood test
as they are more accurate. Just remember,
while taking a pregnancy test you can
always get a false positive, I did for my
first one as it was too early to detect
the pregnancy hormone. Good luck

You mean a false negative right? Like a
said in the other post, you are at great
risk of pregnancy as you never used the
patch properly it will be like you haven't
used anything at all (sorry to scare you
sweetie) when was you last period? It
could still be too early to show

Ok, well just now I went to the potty and
there was a streak of blood. So I think
my rag is officially here. Although
there's no cramping, I think i'm in the
clear.
I switched from a sunday start to a monday
start and didn't know I needed back up
contraception.
So hopefully, this is my period and i'm
not pregnant.
If I don't get a "full on" period by this
afternoon (including clots) i'm calling my
doctor.

I will. After I got the streak of blood,
I started getting cramps. So I got my pad
ready and headed for the potty! Sooo,
when I got there, I realized I had to poop
too! So I pooped and when I wiped my
teetee there was nothing. Nada.
Sooooo, the cramps wound up to be poop
cramps and now they're gone. Not a cramp
or clot in site. I know this is prob.
Tmi, but I don't care at this point!!

Anyways i'll def let yall know what goes
on. I don't wanna get nervous, cuz I
should've followed the directions to the
patch. It's actually my fault. But it
was an accident!!
Lets keep out fingers crossed that my rag
comes!!
