Drinking And Menstrual Cycles

I drink a lot of alcohol and for the past
two months I haven't had a cycle now I am
wondering if it has something to do with
the drinking or if I need to go in to the
doctors and find out if it is something
more than that .

Well I assume you are on a pregnancy forum
because there is a possibility you could
be pregnant. I would suggest you stop
drinking until you find out unless you
want a developmentally delayed child.

I used to drink a lot too, but if you
haven't had a cycle for 2 months then you
need to put the drinks down! The first
trimester is the most essential period for
brain development in babies. A lot of
women don't find out until around 5 weeks
of pregnancy, and a night out or two
before you find out isn't a big deal, but
if you're a heavy drinker that's not good.
Why have you continued to drink heavy
knowing you haven't had a normal cycle?

Diamond, I agree there is ntohing wrong
with having a glass once in while of beer
or wine. Like I said many times both my
grandmother had 20 kids amongst them and
no one , I repeat no one is retarded....I
think someone who reads everything from a
book is a retard themself!

nothing to go on but the book you have no
other choice, lol. Heavy drinking is not
smart.Like someone said,your first 3
months are the most important for
development so stop drinking and get to
the doctor so they can see whats going on

no, no and hard liquor is also not
good....But my point is some "people"
think one glass of beer or wine once in a
while will def. Wihtout doubt the child
to be a retard..Now isnt that just
retarded? Lmao...

Oh christ, stfu
she said she was drinking a lot of
alchohol people-and everyone knows the
first trimester is the most fragile.
I think its common sense that this is a
big no no.

they were implying it was ok by saying "my
kids arent fuc*ed up" and all the other
mumbo jumbo she threw in there. I dont
think I have ever read a coherent post
from you, diamondz. Maybe you are slow
from all the drinking you said your mom
did in the delivery room.
In my opinion you are taking a big chance
by drinking in excess in the beginning of
a pregnancy, and yes, your kids can be
fuc*ed up. Maybe diamondz got lucky that
her kids were born healthy. Thats not to
say that they wont have behavioral
problems like add when they get older.
Look I dont want to start some big huge
drama fight, I am just saying that people
shouldnt be telling this girl that its
okay to drink especially since she said
she drinks .A.L.O.T. And that is very
dangerous in the first trimester.

ingi I see what youre saying but read my
very first post....Why would she be in a
preg. Forum unless there was .S.O.M.E.
Possibility she was prego?
You would think she would just go to the
womens health or bc formus otherwise.

when you said stfu, it seemed like you
were taking this whole thing too
personally. Lighten up. This has all
been discussed before by the exact same
people.
There is something i've noticed about
people who ask the questions they ask,
they really already know the answer - they
are just looking for some validation.
This girl knows she shouldn't drink when
she is pregnant. everyone knows
it. In fact, it is plastered on every
label of every alcoholic beverage in the
states. It is a law. It is on posters in
the liquor stores. Waitresses refuse to
serve pregnant women. And it is in every
magazine ad for alcohol.
If you don't know that alcohol can cause
birth defects, you must be living under a
rock.
Oh, I totally agree. I'm not saying I did
agree with excessive drinking while
pregnant. But I also don't agree with
smoking around children either. Nor do I
think mcdonalds food is good for kids, or
for anyone actually. But just because I
have my views, doesn't mean my views are
right for everyone.

I never told people to drink that is a
decision people make on their own,
anything can be harmful to a pregnancy but
i'm not anal as some are im more laid back
but I guess it was how I raised.
If I wanted to make sense I would but im
not getting paid to do it so f*ck it....
The fact that you stated anyone who drinks
will have a retarted child is disgusting,
first off you are being prejudist and
second you are not a medical professional.
All I state is that your validations
are not true I have two healthy/intellgent
kids and if something happens to my son it
is a genetic disorder that he will inherit
from his grandfather called "muscular
dystrophy."
i have done multiple debates for school
projects on alcohol during pregnancy and
85% of the studies done were woman who had
3+ drinks a day not 2-3 drinks during the
whole pregnancy. 95% of woman who had a
drink-2 drinks during the pregnancy never
had children with any birth defect and I
have the studies to prove it. I never
posted it cause I dont want people to
think its okay to drink but people like me
of european background are born and raised
in the glass of wine thing occaisionally
and that is why I did the study.
I have already posted links on sites that
contradict you and I have alot more from
actual brewerys itself, the reason they
dont want pregnant woman to drink is
because they over do it(abuse it).
Alcohol in moderation is healthy and has
had multiple studies that prove a drink
every so often actually improves one
health.
I know whats right and wrong, I dont break
the rules, I smoke outside(dont even smoke
in the car unless the kids arent there) I
will never promote smoking and will be
quitting after I take my weight off and
get back into a healthy lifestyle.
I dont eat at fastfood and will only allow
my kids to eat there on special occaisons,
I never hit or abuse my kids and yes I
love them to death, in that case I am not
better or worse than you (but if you want
to play that game I can)
so stop talking down to people its
sickening
oh before you call me retarted again
remeber who has the better job and im
furthering my education while being a
parent/wife/sister and friend so I can
still strut my stuff with confidence.
The only reason I am where I am is because
I am myself I dont read textbooks but I
follow my heart/instincts plus im blunt as
all hell.
