Premature Ejaculation, Please Help Posted: 08-15-06 01:12am
Ok so i'm 19 years old turning 20 next
month and going into my second year of
college. I have been sexually active for
3 years now and have been suffering from
premature ejaculation ever since. I have
always tried the "stop start" and
"squeeze" techniques but these have not
helped in the long term at all.
I have been doing alot of research
lately and have come across the fact that
ssri's (anti-depressants) help in aiding
premature ejaculation. I don't really
feel that I am a depressed person but I am
more than willing to try this out.
The problem is just actually going to
a doctor. I am willing to go but I am
unsure if the doctor will even prescribe
me the medication or just deny me
completely. My question is if anyone out
there has done this before? Could anyone
give me some tips on what to say to the
doctor, or at least what kind of doctor to
go to?
Any responses will be greatly
appreciated!

Tell him straight up!
No need to beat around the bush. Tell him
you have this problem and have been
researching possibly remedies.
If that's not his area of expertise ask
him for a reference.

There is no harm in going to the doctor
(what's the worst that can happen?)
damaniam is right, you just need to
approach him straight up about it. My
recommendation would be to get a very
early morning appointment too, because
often if you visit a doctor in the
afternoon, by that point they're so tired
from a day's work that they're more likely
to brush you off. So catch them in the
morning. My boyfriend had to go to a
doctor over erection problems, and it
wasn't half as difficult as he had
expected. The doctor had seen and heard
it all before and was very reassuring.
These people are professionals so there's
no need for embarrassment. Explain to
him how you've read into .P.E and you've
tried a lot of techniques to try to help
but none of them have proved successful
and you want to know where to go from
here. I wish you the best of luck!

Real Help For Premature Ejaculation Sufferers Posted: 10-10-06 16:19pm
Hi wrastler
i'm not surprised the the stop-start and
squeeze don't work long term - did you
realize this ‘method' was developed way
back in the 1970’s?
I mean, that’s over 30 years ago!
I'm sure you can imagine how our
understanding of human sexuality has
advanced dramatically since then - like
big time!
What's more, these techniques have now
been shown to enhance performance anxiety
which can make your premature ejaculation
worse...
As for taking anti-depressants, I would
strongly advise against this radical
measure. Sure, these drugs are known to
delay ejaculation, but they are not a real
solution to your problem.
Like so many of today’s medications -
they only treat the symptoms but do not
offer cure.
And...Without the drugs, the problems
still exists.
Ask yourself, do you want to be on
anti-depressants for the rest of your
life???
They're really very powerful drugs that
last a long time in your body and have a
considerable list of potential significant
side effects.
• nausea
• drowsiness
• headaches
• increased appetite
• weight gain
• erectile dysfunction (inability to
develop or maintain erection)
• decreased libido
• anorgasmia (delayed ejaculation)
• increased feelings of depression and
anxiety
• tremors
• increased sweating
• insomnia
not only that, the use of antidepressants
carry an additional warning. You must
remember that you’re taking a drug that
was not even originally designed for pe.
You’re essentially taking a drug for its
‘unwanted’ side effect while its
primary purpose is to treat depression,
obsessive-compulsive disorder and other
psychiatric disorders...
There are natural ways to cure your
premature ejaculation that do not involve
dangerous prescription drugs, delay lube,
stay harder longer sprays or any other
type of 'miracle cure in a can'.
Firstly though you need to discover the
cause of your particular type of pe and
there are 7 main causes - the most common
being poor psychosexual development (most
common) and neurological which means that
your body is actually hard-wired through
your nervous system to have a quicker
ejaculatory reflex.
Don't worry becasue there are methods for
treating these types of pe.
You basically need to recondition your
mind and body regarding the way you
respond to sexual stimulation.
The key is in being able to tune into your
sensitivity rather than away from it -
which may seem counter intuitive but this
is also why all the delay lubes and
desentsitizing creams actually work in the
reverse way that they should if they
really were a solution...
Here's the thing. The natural cure is
nhere'sovernight cure but it works and is
not harmful to your body and mind!
All the best

The range of treatments on pe is large...
And depends on whom you contact to be
helped.
Either psychological, physical or
pharma-based treatments. You can find it
all.
I've tried to make a summary of different
treatments with some level of result, you
can find it at http://prematureejaculati
on.Sohosted.Com
have a look, end let me know if this info
helped you?

Having tried many ed products, I can only
quote my dr, "try a sample of the major
products and determine what works best for
you". I am no dr, and I don't get paid to
do ads, but I can say that I think cialis
is a godsend for ed and sensitivity
issues.

Amazing what people would do for sex -_-.
Hey man, if you really want to take
anti-depressants for a few more minutes in
the bed, its your life and health. I can
see the possibility of why they would help
you, but you can't exclude the side
effects that they often have.
Additionally, how it affects people as an
individual mentally and emotionally... its
just not worth the price. I had a few
friends who were on anti-depressants
because they actually "needed it", it just
takes the life out of them. After taking
it they would be all quiet and zoned out
and not care about anything in the world.
Don't take it.
As for a solution, I've seen some forums
here and there on this one talking about
exercises that can increase your
libido/size. As to whether or not they are
valid... I cannot say, it could just be
some random guys that work for a enhancer
company attempting to advertise. But I
know kegel exercises at least contribute
to sexual health.

well SSRI's is my next step. I have oone
more visit with a therapists and if he
okays it the i will be prescribed an
ssri. Certain steps are require before
prescribed. but i just got done reading on
other sites that people who have pe and
are on ssri's it increased there time
dramatically. like from 2min to 15-20 or
even more. and thats a big jump. and for
some one like me who never gets in and
cums in the pants 9 out of 10 times i will
take the side effects if the pill helps.
Cause my problem is way to embarressing
and i have no sex life becuase of it and
it sux. i tried exercises and all and
nothing worked. so my last option is
ssri's so i'm going to give it a shot with
some side effects involve, so what as long
as i can increase my ejaculation time.
i'll keep u posted.
