Hi there...I would really love it if someone who has been pregnant in montreal could answer this post; i'm wondering if I should switch doctors. Here is why: a regular pregancy checkup for me (at 17 weeks) goes like this:

i come to the doctor's office. I weigh myself. I wait between 1-3 hours to see the doctor. Get put in doctor's office. She comes in, puts ultrasound on, says, "look see the baby's hear beating?" takes it off, tells me to take an appointment for week of..., and leaves. Is this normal???

And how do I find out about other doctors, in order to switch?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Hey emma...Well, i'm registered to deliver at the royal vic, so I want my doctor to be associated with them. But I really have no idea how to find another doctor! Do I look in the phone book, or is there a list somewhere? I was referred to this doctor by a walk-in clinic, and I have never had a family doctor. (i'm not from quebec) do you know where I can start looking? Thank you so much for any help!

call the hospital and ask for a list of obgyn's for that hospital and explain your situation. Or you can call the local clsc , get the number from the hospital and they will be able to give you a few more drs. For that hospital. Good luck!!
