Switching Pills And Bleeding Posted: 08-17-06 11:14am
Hi, I started taking the pill about three
months ago and have run into various
problems since- any advice would be
greatly appreciated!
I started off on alesse but was getting a
lot of breakthrough bleeding, so I was
switched to ortho 0.5/35 which worked well
for a while, but the bleeding came back
towards the end of the first pack.
Usually i'd just push through it, but im
leaving the country in two weeks and wont
see my boyfriend for a year, so I just
wanted a temporary fix, which is why my
nurse switched me to the ortho. My
roommate was having the same issues and
she was switched from ortho to tri-cyclen
which seemed to work. I changed two days
ago and have had much heavier bleeding
since- it's as if im on my period, with
the back ache and stomach cramps and
everything.
My question is, with so little time left,
should I stick it out or go back to the
ortho when at least I wasnt feeling sick
and periody? Or is changing again just
going to cause me more problems?
