Is it normal to cramp like af is coming when you are at 13wks and my next drs isnt until the 23rd of aug. I work 8-5 mond through fri and I have two boys so I am constantly going I called the nurse and she just said if im bleeding that there isnt much they can do so just to drink a lot of water, I dont take vits cuz they make me too sick to work. Ive tried a couple diffrent kind, I take flinstone vits every once in a while. When I remember. I feel like I cant remember anything. I wish there was a job I could do at home so I wouldnt have to work and I could be there with them boys. Plus I spend about 20.0 aday on food. I eat all the time. I was 113 when I started and now im 128lbs. Anyway so is this normal to cramp? Could it mean something is wrong. And not taking vits is this dangerous?

The cramping could be caused by your uterus stretching. I've always had some light cramps during my whole pregnancy. (i'm 34w3d)

but it's not necessarily dangerous to not take vitamins, but it's a very good idea to take them. The baby is kinda like a parasite, and taking all of your nutrients...The vitamins help sustain you and the baby.

There are 2 things to try with the prenatals.
1. Try taking right before bedtime, because if they do upset your stomach, you'll be sleeping, and you won't notice.
2. Take the pill with a glass of milk. The milk will coat your stomach, and should make you feel better. And always eat a snack or small meal with your vitamin (if you take it during the day)

hope that helps ya!

Vitamins are good for the development of the baby most importantly in the 1st trimester. My Dr. Told me to quit them because of the same reason as you. And to start over in the 2nd but for myself. He told me I will need the iron in case of loss of blood and other complications. It isnt dangerous not to take them ..I know many many women who never took them and had healthy pregnancies and babies. Cramps are normal during your entire pregnancy.

Oh and I never did end up taking prenatal vitamins ..I am now taking flinstone with added iron and my Dr. Says they work just fine...And taste much better !!
