Im Pregnant!
Posted: 08-18-06 06:49am

Ok so ive taken three take home preg tests and they all came out positive!!
But since my period only ended two weeks ago my mom said the preg tests could have picked up the inaccurate results. I dont think this is possible since the tests pick up hcg hormone and thats only given off when you are preg.
But im in total disbelief idk it hasnt hit me yet.
But most of the time im having horrible cramps.
Anyways if someone could reassure me about the test I would love it lol!

Thanks!!

Hi there it is unusual for a test to show up positive 2 weeks after your period as this is around the time you would be ovulating. The only explanation I can think of is that you are further along than you think and you last period was not actually a real period. Was it lighter or shorter in any way? Also watch out for those carmps if you lose any blood too please speak to your doctor.

Congratulations anyway

The test will never give you a false postive 3 times in a row. No, there cannot be hcg in your body unless you are pregnant. So you are pregnant!
You may have had what you believe to be a period two weeks ago but it might have been just bleeding and not a true period. An u/s in later pregnancy will determine the exact date of conception ! Congrats!

i doubt it was implantation bleeding because usually thats supposed to be just spotting and second its uncommon and it has never been proven to exist...U have bleed but there is porbably another explantion for it.....Good luck..

I got my positives after 2 weeks of my missed period. I took 4 beacuse I was in shock!! And still didn't belive it until my Dr. Found the heartbeat at 10 1/2 weeks!! That's when it hit me like a ton of bricks. Like...There's actually something growing/living inside of me!!!

Congratulations!!!

Sarah

Hi girls I think there has been some confusion here. The original poster said she got her bfp 2 weeks after she bled. Not after a missed period. Thats why we were puzzled by it. Its normal to get a postive just after (or sometimes even a couple of days before) your missed period as the hcg is strong enough to show.

My guess is the original poster is further along than she thinks. Probably around 6 weeks

I have been having horible upper thigh cramps but ive read that its my sciatic (sp?) nerve. And the constipation is unbarable. And its a horrible pain..But im also a big baby so this next 9 mths should be really interesting lol.

All I want is a healthy baby.

This forum is going to be a great place to go and reasurre me

also those cramps were because of constipation.

And my period wasnt any shorter it was actually lighter but longer. I tend to have a long period but with horrible cramps and three days of heavy bleeding which I didnt have at all.

Im so curious I cant wait to go to the dr!!
