Is Diarrhea or Intestinal Disorder related to Ovarian Cysts?
Posted: 08-18-06 23:01pm

I have had rupturing ovarian cysts off and on since age 18. More recently (over the past couple of months) I have been feeling very uncomfortable in my lower abdomen. I feel bloated and gassy. I am nauseated after eating most of the time. I have put on alot of extra weight Aprox 10 pounds over the last 3 months. Over the past year I have been having PMS symptoms that I had never had ( irritability, extreme depression, my last period although on time was spotty and lasted only 2 days, I normally last 5 to 6 days). my bowel habits are regular at times but at times are not. I sometimes have thin mucousy stools with lots of cramping other times I have diarrhea with extremely painful cramping like labor pain. I can usually feel gas rolling in my stomach but it does not pass easy.
Is this normal aging or may I have a worsening condition with the cysts or possibly ovarian cancer?

It doesn't seem that the digestive symptoms and weight gain you describe are related to an ovarian cyst. Symptoms of an ovarian cyst include irregularities in the menstrual cycle and related difficulties. It is still early to talk about aging. Diarrhea, cramping, and mucous stoolscan becaused by an intestinal infection. In this case, you can visit your GP (General Practitioner) and request diagnostic tests for identifying possible infections.
