What Are the Chances..
Posted: 08-21-06 13:32pm

I was on the pill for roughly three years. This month I finished a pill pack, including the period week of pills on a saturday. From sunday to the following sunday I wasn't on any form of bcp, due a move away from my regular health care provider. I had sex that sunday, and the condom broke. After trying unsuccessfully on monday and tuesday to obtain the morning-after pill, I got a pack of regular bcp on wednesday. That day I took four of the first pills at 8am, then four more at 8pm. Then four days later (sunday) I started a new pack of bcp and have been taking them since. I didn't plan for this to happen and i'm wondering if I should take a test now or wait until my period is supposed to come. It's been three weeks now since I had sex. Please anyone with thoughts, let me know.

Wait until your period is supposed to come. A test wouldn't show anything until your period would come.

More than likely you are not pregnant, nor were you pregnant. But that can be a scary situation.

Your body is not going to behave normally because it has been given so many hormones. You may not have your period, even on your placebo week. You can test for pregnancy, the pills will not affect a test.

Good luck.

no ma'am...Nothing affects a pregnancy test. It solely relies on hcg and nothing could alter and disturb it...Its a wonderful hormone!! Lol

nope. Medication cannot alter a pregnancy test.
