What do these Symptoms Indicate?
Posted: 08-21-06 14:50pm

I AM EXPERIENCING PERFLEXING SYMPTOMS THAT HAVE NO EXPLAINATION. FOR 13 YEARS I HAVE FELT POORLY. SYMPTOMS LIKE THE FLU HIT, I HAD BODY ACHES FOR 8 MONTHS WITH EXTREME FATIQUE. I GET WOKEN UP BY A SENSATION OF HEART PALPITATIONS AND NERVOUSNESS. THIS DISAPPEARS WHEN I SIT UP. SO NOW WHEN I AM IN A EPISODE I SLEEP SITTING UPRIGHT. MY SKELETON JUST CRUNCHED AT ALL JOINTS DURING THIS TIME. NO FEVER. MY ANA WAS SPECKLED AND SED RATE WAS 22. OTHERWISE I WAS NORMAL WITH LABS. SINCE THEN EVERY 2 TO 3 MONTHS THIS RE-OCCURS. MY LAST 2 LABS HAVE SHOWN PERFECT RESULTS. SO FAR MY ENTIRE BODY HAS BEEN AFFECTED. MY RESTING HEART RATE IS 34 ACTIVITY RAISES IT TO ONLY 100. I RECENTLY HAD AN EMG AND IT SHOWED AXON NEUROPATHY WITHOUT CAUSE. A PENDING BIOPSY OF MY SURAL NERVE AND GASTROCNEMIUS MUSCLE WILL HAPPEN AT THE END OF THIS MONTH. MY NEUROLOGIST CLAIMS ONLY DIABETICS GET THIS. I AM NOT A DIABETIC NOR AN ALCOHOLIC. I DO NOT CONSUME ANY ALCOHOL. EPISODES OF PAIN STILL OCCUR AND I STILL HAVE NO ANSWERS. I RECENTLY HAD REPEAT LABS PERFORMED AND AGAIN ALL WAS PERFECT! A MRI OF HEAD,NECK AND SPINE WERE ALSO NORMAL. LUPUS WAS ALWAYS A QUESTION BUT ALL LABS SAY OTHERWISE. I HAVE NO FACIAL RASH EXCEPT BOTH OF MY EYELIDS AND EAR CANALS HAVE AN ITCHY RAISE SCALY RASH. IT IMPROVES WITH THE USE OF A MEDROL PACK BUT IS ONLY A TEMPORARY FIX. WHAT COULD BE HAPPENING TO ME?

It is diagnose the symptoms you describe. You can first check the condition of your thyroid gland. You indicated in your message that you've been diagnosed with Hashimoto thyroiditis. In the later stages of that disease, the gland is completely destroyed and you will need supplementary therapy with thyroxin to treat hypothyroidism. You can seek an expert opinion and medical care from an endocrinologist.
