Bleeding For Weeks & Pain Posted: 08-21-06 22:34pm
Well I know first off that I need to go to
the doctor and get the real answer but I
was hoping that I could hold out long
enough so my health insurance could kick
in.. Let me start off by saying I am 21
and I have never had a period last longer
than a week maybe two and that includes
coming on and off birth control pills and
the depo shot... Recently about a month
ago my depo shot should have stopped
working and about a week before that I
started a really heavy period. I have had
this period for the past 5 weeks
continuously with a rare couple hour break
and usually its really heavy. I also am
having cramping pain that is so horrible
that I cannot function, and I have never
had cramping before. Does anyone know
what may cause this?

Definitely see your doctor. Although it
took forever for them to tell me I have a
huge fibroid tumor!! But that is what
caused my heavy bleeding. But research
it online, because there are a number of
different causes. I had a pretty good
idea that mine was caused by tumors
because my mother and aunts all suffered
from the same issue.
