Surely This Is Not My Mucous Plug, Way Too Early! Posted: 08-22-06 20:42pm
Hey, I had my 27 week check up on monday
and my doc said his head is already down
waiting to come out. Then I just went to
the bathroom and I had a heap of gel like
mucous that was slightly tinted
yellow/brown. It was no where like my
normal discharge. This cant be my mucous
plug hey, it's way too early! Has anyone
else had this???

Your mucous plug can grow back. As weird
as that is...
So if this was your mucous plug, it can
mean absolutely nothing related to labor,
etc. It might be because your doctor
'checked' you.
As with any advice given on the internet,
please take this with a grain of salt. If
you are still concerned in any way,
contact your doctor. ;)

Thanks ingi. He didnt to an internal,
just felt my belly and listened to the
heart beat. I'll see how it goes over
the next 24 hours and if it's still there
i'll call him tomorrow! Thanks for your

I lost mine a while before I went into
labor. Weeks and weeks. I don't
remember when exactly but I think it was
around 32 weeks or so.
