proper education would go a long way in
helping the problem too. I can't
believe the number of girls 15-18 who have
said....They weren't sure about how you
get pregnant. You would think in this
day and age when little is left to the
imagination on tv and in the
media.....That they would have figured
some of this out. That is why
education both in the home and in the
schools really needs to be stepped up.
If they don't know how you get
pregnant....Then they probably are not
real sure how not to
either.
i know many young women who have been told
so many times that bcp's don't work that
they'd rather have unprotected sex that go
through the bother of actually learning
about birth control methods, and their
real
effectivness.
i believe you are correct on this.
Again....Education is the key. The sad
thing is....Just because someone is
"physically" mature enough to have
sex....Doesn't mean they are "emotionally
mature enough. That means sometimes
things like bc and condoms are not deemed
as important by them as they truly
are.
right. My personal belief is that
children under the age of 18 shouldn't be
having sex anyway... Of course not many
people follow that advice lol, but if I
ever have kids, that's what I will teach
them: about sex, how a woman becomes
pregnant, what birth control is - and my
daughter will be on the birth control of
her choice when she starts seriously
dating a guy - the effectiveness of it,
and the options that are available if
something goes wrong. I would always
support my theoretical daughter, no matter
what she chose. If she was under 18
yeah... I would make sure she knew the
pros and cons of keeping the baby. But I
would never force her to abort, and i'd
never kick her out if she kept the baby.
However, I would not monetarily support
the baby; just her as is my job until she
is 18. I'd help her fill out paper work
to get milk vouchers and whatnot... But I
wouldn't baby-sit the child while she went
to school either, especially if she was
still in highschool. I'd make her find a
babysitter for the day. It would be my
grandaughter, not my child, and as such,
my daughter would be responsible for
raising it, not me.

for a theoretical parent....You have your
head on pretty straight. :)

I am not a parent yet but seeing my mom
and what she says if my daughter needs
help whether is to baby sit the child or
give her money I would do it no matter
what. I would absolutetly discourage her
from killing a human being through
abortion because in my home I will teach
to value and respect the human life
whether their fetuses or whether they are
in a wheelchair.

Heh ^_^ there are many things i'm taking
from my parents, and adding in my own
experience, and what i'd have wanted.
